JONESBORO, Ark. (3/9/15) – The Arkansas State baseball team has cancelled its Tuesday contest with Missouri State, but will still play the Bears on Wednesday with first pitch now set for 4 p.m. from Tomlinson Stadium.
Tuesday’s contest, originally set for 6:30 p.m., has been called off due to unplayable field conditions and the chance of more inclement weather in the area. The game Wednesday was scheduled to begin at 3 p.m., but will now begin at 4 p.m. as the Red Wolves and Bears will now only play one game instead of the two-game midweek series that was scheduled.
This marks the 12th game the Red Wolves have adjusted in some form or fashion due to weather. Arkansas State just recently opened Sun Belt Conference play against UT Arlington in Jackson, Miss., because of unplayable field conditions at Tomlinson Stadium. The Red Wolves lost two of three games to the Mavericks and now stand at 8-5 overall with a 1-2 mark in conference play. Missouri State enters the game with an 8-4 record and took two out of three versus Wright State this past weekend.
